Why We Started Bluestone Builders
Bluestone Builders was founded in 2010 around an observation that anyone who has renovated a home in Massachusetts will recognize: the hard part usually isn't the construction. It's finding a contractor who answers the phone, explains what's actually happening, and finishes what they started.
We started small, with a handful of bathrooms and kitchens and a reputation built one referral at a time. That's still how most of our work arrives — from homeowners who had a good experience and told a neighbor about it.
Today we handle kitchens, bathrooms, custom cabinetry and decks across Greater Boston. We stayed deliberately sized: big enough to run a full remodel with our own people and licensed trade partners, small enough that the person who gave you the estimate is still the person walking your job.
Most of the homes we work in were built long before we got here — plaster walls, out-of-square framing, plumbing that's been reworked three times. We price honestly for that reality instead of pretending it away, which is why our estimates tend to hold up.
